- Global Reports https://www.global-reports.com are now offering
Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR) reports, also known as
Sustainability or Environmental Reports. From their press release:
"CSR reports are a relatively new filing type and provide an overview
of the social, environmental, and economic impacts of a company's
operations and products. These reports are in increasing demand by
the customers and investors of publicly traded companies, who want to
fully understand the financial risk and opportunities associated with
the company's conduct of business." Also from the release: "Our new
CSR document collection will be available to all subscribers at no
additional cost starting Monday, February 13th. We will have
approximately 3600 CSRs at launch, filed by more than a thousand
companies in 49 countries. Our CSR documents will be in full color,
native PDF format and we will use the same streamlined collection
processes you have come to expect to ensure timely additions to the
database. In conjunction with our CSR launch, we've also added two new
stock indices to our advanced search page: the FTSE 4Good Global 100
and the Dow Jones Stoxx Sustainability index."
- BELL, a web site by Gene Hayworth has a searchable feature for
CSR reports at http://libnet.colorado.edu/Bell/. "BELL is a
comprehensive starting point for research in corporate ethics and
social responsibility. The database provides access to codes of ethics
for U.S. companies and trade and professional associations, ethics
sites at college and university business programs, industry
information resources, and company promotion of social
responsibility."
- Business for Social Responsibility A new White Paper titled
"CSR, Governance and the Future of Boards" is now posted on the
Business for Social Responsibility website http://www.bsr.org/. The
author, Allen White says its time to transform the board from a
shareholder fiduciary to a stakeholder fiduciary. The site itself is a
nice CSR portal with resources and conference listings.
- KLD, There is a database called Socrates, billed as "The
Corporate Social Ratings Monitor" produced by the KLD Research &
Analytics, Inc. http://www.kld.com/research/socrates/index.html. The
web-based database contains social, environmental, and governance
research on more than 4,000 companies in over 50 global markets.
- Investor Responsibility Research Center http://www.irrc.org/
