Pearls of Wisdom Newsletter
Gathering intelligence on private companies can be tricky, as they are not
required to file their financial and disclosure statements with the
Securities and Exchange Commission. The first resource I've listed offers an
overview of the best places to look. Running a search on the company name in
the local newspaper in the town where it's located is another good tactic.
I've listed directories of local business journals and newspapers in the
second section along with some other unusual places to gather information on
these elusive players. At the end I've included information on Google's new
foreign news alerts.
