A good rule for serious Internet research is to always use more than one
search engine since there is little overlap between them. Remember, even
though Google is a great tool it only indexes about a third of the web.
Search expert Gary Price summarizes a variety of what might seem like little

Yahoo is a player that's been around almost since the beginning and has
recently been showing some renewed vitality. The service now indexes news
from about 7000 sources and offers additional advanced search options
including narrowing a query by location, source or news category.

Yahoo has also added more options to its news alerts service. When you
monitor the news by keyword, you can select the sources you want to watch.
Another option--News Bulletins--lets you select news categories. In addition
you can receive breaking news updates from Reuters or Associated Press.

FreePint, an online community of information searchers puts out a free
newsletter twice a month that's full of great resources and articles. If you
don't want to bother with another newsletter in your inbox at least be aware
of their substantial archive via their online index. It's a good starting
point for business research in place of a search engine.
